Not Really a Complaint...

...because I LOVE crossover fics, but...it's hard to read a Sherlock Holmes crossover story without a huge suspension of disbelief, because in what universe (besides BBC Sherlock, of course) has anyone on earth not heard of Sherlock Holmes? So how can, say, Neal Caffrey meet Sherlock Holmes and not say, "Whoa! Your name is Sherlock Holmes? No shit!"?
