Some Things

1. My cat is dying. Okay, that sounds worse than it is. Pandora, a 17 1/2 year old tuxedo cat, developed a severe kidney infection back in February. It was touch-and-go for awhile there, and I had to give her liquid antibiotics twice a day for SIX WEEKS, but she is doing much better now. She has kidney disease, which she will die of some day, but for now she is stable and as happy as a deaf, arthritic, toothless cat can be.

2. I have been watching lots of tv but nothing compares 2U, Sherlock. Sherlock Sherlock Sherlock. I miss you so.

3. Watched the first episode of Shattered, the Canadian cop show starring Callum Keith Rennie. Not bad.

4. Have been getting into Dr. Who lately, though I don't feel compelled to watch it every night or anything. David Tennant is adorable (haven't watched the Matt Smith ones yet).

5. Great article in the new New Yorker about George R. R. Martin's relationship with his fans. The link is here, but unfortunately you can only read it if you have a subscription.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry about your kitty. I just this week found out my bears (both! they're brothers) might have kidney disease, too, and I am very upset. We're going to do more tests...

That is comforting to know. Thanks. I can't be on the computer much b/c of my own health issues, but I'll keep your links in mind for later. My bears are only seven! But they are fatties, which might be part of the reason for the kidney problems. We've been in a battle over their weight since they were kittens. Sigh.
