Sherlock 2x01
Jan. 1st, 2012 10:25 pmSome things I didn't like:
1. I didn't like how the swimming pool scene ended. After waiting a year, I expected something more. Instead it was like, oh I'll just walk away now. Bleh.
2. I couldn't figure out what the mystery was! Was it what was on her phone? Also, why did they call it a "camera phone"? Is that what they call it in England? Not "smartphone"?
3. Too much Mycroft. I like it better when he's in it less. It makes him more mysterious.
4. Sherlock and John host a Christmas party? Really? I found that hard to believe.
5. Hated the hat! I was terrified he'd actually start wearing it.
6. The ending was completely ridiculous.
Some things I liked:
1. I loved Sherlock's bedroom, with the periodic table and the sleigh bed. That was awesome!
2. Loved Mrs. Hudson, especially when she pulls the phone from its hiding place!
3. Continue to enjoy the text-on-screen stuff, especially when it's tiny, and I'll have to go back later to read it properly (John's blog).
4. I actually really liked Irene Adler as a character (that is, as taken apart from the ludicrousness and confusingosity of her plot).
5. Love that John is counting the hits on his blog, and that it gets way more visitors than Sherlock's website, where he posts about the 243 types of tobacco ash.
6. I was intrigued by Mycroft's call to John that it was a "watch night," but would have like to see more of this. There is a hint, as there was in season one, that Sherlock sometimes does more than nicotine, but it was only a hint.
7. Glad to see/hear some more of the violin!
8. The slashy bits were fun! ("obviously someone loves you"; "you're a very good boyfriend" etc.)
