How hard is it to upload a story to AO3?

I ask because I'm wondering if I could volunteer to upload some of my favorite SGA fanfic by authors who have AO3 accounts but have not uploaded all their stories--maybe because the stories are old or they're not into the fandom anymore, whatever.

I wonder if people would be receptive to this offer?

It's easy, but you'd have to have the author's login info. Not sure about other authors, but fics I haven't uploaded to AO3 aren't uploaded for a reason: I hate them. In fact, I got very grumperola when AO3 imported the SSA with stories I hadn't been able to get taken down by the SSA mods.

Hmmm, okay. Getting an author's login info might be overstepping a boundary, though. I guess it couldn't hurt to email the author and ask.
